PERSONAL INJURY LITIGATION
Matt is a passionate advocate for injured victims that have suffered serious orthopedic fractures and brain injuries.
Matt only represent the rights of accident victims. He never represented insurance companies. Matt places emphasis on serious (catastrophic) car and motorcycle accidents, acquired brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, serious fracture cases, victims with rotator cuff injuries, wrongful death cases, deadly impaired driving accidents, serious slip/trip and falls, (occupier and municipal liability cases) serious dog attacks and dog maulings, assault cases, sexual assault cases, burning and scarring cases and other personal injuries.
Matt has also represented clients in many levels of court including Small Claims, the Superior Court, the Divisional Court, the Ontario Court of Appeal, and tribunals such as the Canadian Pension Plan Tribunal, the Pension Review Tribunal, Financial Services Commission mediations, and the Criminal Injury Compensation Board Tribunal (CICB).
Matt is also a long standing member of OTLA and he enjoys academic work. He has also lectured for OTLA and regularly contributes numerous articles to the Litigator Magazine, the Lawyers Weekly, the Burlington Post and various newspaper publications around southern Ontario. Matt has also authored for websites with respect to insured persons rights, spinal cord injuries and aquired brain injuries. He has also been a guest speaker in colleges and universities.

Matt assists employers with workplace issues such as HR Training, hiring, termination, independent contractor issues, employment contract issues, policy manuals and procedures in the workplace, workplace investigations, performance evaluations, discipline of employees, promotion of employees, overtime pay, privacy in the workplace, resignations, retirement issues, sales of business issues, wrongful dismissal issues, reasonable notice, bad faith issues, tort liability (such as defamation, mental suffering, negligent misrepresentation, contractual relation interference, conspiracy, psychological harassment), injunctive remedies, Employment standards act issues, overtime pay issues, non-competes, maternity issues, commission and bonus disputes, sexual harassment, independent contractor issues, and complex employment litigation.
