CPP Disability Pension Representation

Of the Canadian pensions available there is a pension plan program, called CPP Disability Pension, which is somewhat of a disability insurance plan that has been available since approximately 1966. This Canada pension is not sickness insurance or employment insurance. It is insurance against disastrous damage to the human body, available within certain time limits after the last date of contribution.

If you live in Ontario and suffer from a disability, we may be able to help you. To be eligible for this CPP Disability Pension, there are two requirements that you must satisfy as an applicant. You must have made valid Canada Pension Plan contributions and you must prove that your disability, whether physical or mental, is severe and prolonged. As personal injury lawyers we are often faced with dissecting the component of “severe”. We assist injured victims, or people with disabilities, to argue why their disability is severe and why they should be in receipt of the CPP Disability Pension. We assist you in presenting your severe disability in front of either the Review Tribunal or the Pension Appeals Board and show why you are incapable of regularly perusing any substantially gainful occupation.

If you have submitted a CPP Disability Pension Application and have been denied disability benefits then please contact us for a consultation. Normally our routine is to flat fee CPP Disability Pension representation in front of Tribunals, depending on the factual circumstances and present the case. We have experienced lawyers that have appeared in front of the Tribunal on numerous occasions and we would be happy to speak with you about your Application for CPP Disability Pension.
